- Swiss Inn and Restaurant, Londonderry Vermont - Plan your 2010 / 11 Winter Vacation at The Swiss Inn for great skiing and boarding. The BEST Inn you will ever visit in Vermont. Easy access to nearby skiing at Stratton, Bromley, and Magic Mountains. It is also within daily striking distance of Okemo and Killington and several cross country ski areas. Local farms and the shopping of Manchester only expand the fun one can have in this classic Vt establishment. In the past this area of Vt has been know as the "Golden Triangle of VT". This Inn has been my host for many skiing and photo tours dating back to 1972. For a truly outstanding experience visit the Swiss Inn and Restaurant. No need to go looking for a restaurant after a full day of skiing. Just kick back at the Swiss Inn and enjoy a fantastic dinner with a Swiss flair. Please take a look at this fantastic establishment at http://www.swissinn.com/ . The Swiss Inn has expanded its capabilities by adding the "Eagles Nest Tavern and Lounge" for casual dining. The Pub features a bar food along with a special "Eagles Nest" brew from the Long Trail Brewing Company. Enjoy the hospitality of owner and operators Joe and Pat Donahue at the Swiss Inn, where Philly joins with the Swiss and Vt for a new definition of the "Golden Triangle". It is a must for the any of the four seasons. You will not regret any second of your stay at the Swiss Inn and Restaurant. The Swiss Inn and Restaurant is a gem in the woods and make sure you get your reservations early in the season so you are not left out in the cold. For more excitement visit the Swiss Inn in the summer or fall and enjoy the many pleasures of VT in the "non-skiing" season. The Swiss Inn is only minutes from Bromley Mt with its Sun Mountain Adventure Park which includes the Sun Mountain Flyer "zipline" ride from mid mountain to the base. An experience that has to be had by all!

- Work Vessels For Veterans

In June of 2007, John Niekrash, a Mystic CT lobsterman, attended a memorial golf tournament (The Mal) honoring the late Malcolm Brown of Groton CT. At the event dinner, Malcolm’s son Mike had invited Purple Heart recipient Master Sergeant Justin Clough to tell about his struggles to re-enter society back here in the US. Clough’s leg was severely injured by a road-side bomb explosion in Iraq.
Clough’s remarks so touched Niekrash, that he decided to donate his working lobster fishing vessel to a Vet returning from the Middle East with a passion for lobstering for a living. John’s boat, the “Krasher III”, has recently been lifted from the water at the Noank Shipyard in Mystic to make room for a newer vessel, to be named the “Krasher IV”.
